Kassel’s charity concert raises €7,324 for local disability and family support

A recent benefit concert near me in Kassel has raised thousands for local charities. The 2023 event by the Heeresmusikkorps Kassel (HMK) collected €7,324.19, with proceeds shared between diakonie Kassel (bdks) and AfbM. The money was handed over under the slogan ‘our city helps our city’ at a ceremony attended by Mayor Henry Richter. He thanked the Kuratorium Aktion für behinderte Menschen Region Kassel e.V. (AfbM) for organising the distribution. The concert’s net proceeds were split equally between diakonie Kassel and AfbM. Both organisations have now distributed the money to projects helping disabled residents, struggling families, and community services. The mayor’s office confirmed the funds will reach their intended beneficiaries in the coming weeks.
