Kazakh man gets 20 years for murdering coworker over extorted loan
Aset, a resident of Aktobe, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for murder and extortion. The victim, a coworker, was forced to take out a loan of 7.7 million tenge before being killed and buried outside the city. The accomplice received a reduced sentence.
Aset, driven by greed, coerced his colleague into taking a substantial loan. He then callously ended the man's life by strangling him. The body was subsequently buried outside Aktobe with the help of an accomplice. The accomplice's role in the crime was acknowledged, leading to a reduced sentence of three years and two months under an amnesty. The court found Aset guilty of both murder and extortion, imposing a severe sentence of 20 years in prison.
