Kazakh Yurt Gift Strengthens Turkic Nations' Cultural Ties
A delegation from Kazakhstan's Mangystau Region recently gifted a seven-winged Kazakh yurt to the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) in Ankara, Turkey. The event was a celebration of cultural cooperation and unity among Turkic nations.
The presentation was attended by several notable figures, including Deputy akim (governor) of Mangystau Region Tulegen Abishev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkey Yerkebulan Sapiyev, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Dr. Serdar Çam, and Mayor of Ankara Vasip Şahin. Representing Mangystau, Akim (mayor) of Aktau Abilkair Baipakov emphasized the honor and responsibility of being recognized as the cultural capital of the Turkic World.
The unique Kazakh cultural symbol was presented by Mayor of Aktau Alibek Irgaliyev. TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev praised the gift, stating it would serve as a symbol of unity and cohesion among Turkic peoples. The ceremony concluded with a vibrant concert program featuring traditional Kazakh music and dance performances by artists from Mangystau.
The gifting of the seven-winged Kazakh yurt to TURKSOY marks a significant step in strengthening cultural ties and cooperation among Turkic nations. The event in Ankara was a testament to the shared heritage and brotherhood among these nations.
