Kazakhstan and EU Strengthen Decade-Long Strategic Ties in Landmark Meeting
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with the EU’s Special Representative for Central Asia, Eduardas Stiprys. The discussions focused on deepening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, marking a decade since their strategic partnership agreement was signed.
The meeting highlighted the long-standing relationship between Kazakhstan and the EU. Their Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement was first signed 10 years ago, laying the foundation for ongoing collaboration.
The talks signalled a shared intent to broaden cooperation across multiple sectors. With the partnership agreement now a decade old, Kazakhstan and the EU are set to build on their existing ties. Future efforts will focus on trade, investment, and joint projects in key areas like sustainability and technology.
