Kazakhstan and Georgia Strengthen Ties at Ashgabat Forum
Kazakhstan and Georgia have reaffirmed their long-standing partnership during a high-level meeting in Ashgabat. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on the sidelines of the Peace and Trust international forum. Both sides highlighted the importance of deepening ties in key sectors.
The discussions took place as part of a wider regional gathering. Leaders from Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey attended the forum in Ashgabat. Together, they committed to boosting cooperation in transport, logistics, and trade, with a focus on transit corridors and economic interaction.
The talks in Ashgabat resulted in a shared commitment to further strengthen transport, logistics, and trade links. Kazakhstan and Georgia will continue building on their existing partnership. The meeting also reinforced their role in broader regional cooperation efforts.
