Kazakhstan and Morocco have strengthened their legal cooperation with the signing of an Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters. The agreement was signed in Rabat on December 12, 2024, and later ratified by Kazakhstan's President K. Tokayev on November 13, 2025.

The agreement, signed by high-level officials from both countries, aims to facilitate cooperation in criminal investigations and proceedings. It allows for the exchange of evidence, witness testimonies, and other forms of assistance between Kazakhstani and Moroccan authorities.

Following the signing, the agreement was sent to Kazakhstan for ratification. After a year, on November 13, 2025, President Tokayev signed the law ratifying the agreement, marking a significant step in bilateral relations.

With the ratification, the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between Kazakhstan and Morocco has come into force. This paves the way for enhanced cooperation in combating transnational crime and strengthening the rule of law between the two nations.
