Kazakhstan and Presight AI forge tech alliance for Smart City expansion
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with Presight AI CEO Thomas Pramotedham to discuss technology partnerships. The talks focused on the Smart City initiative and future collaborations in artificial intelligence. Pramotedham later received a state honour for his contributions to bilateral ties. During the meeting, President Tokayev praised Presight AI’s role in advancing AI solutions across Kazakhstan. He highlighted the company’s pilot Smart City project in Astana as a key example of successful cooperation. The president also expressed interest in expanding the initiative to Almaty.
Pramotedham outlined Presight AI’s plans to support Kazakhstan’s Digital Valley project. This scheme aims to create a dedicated ecosystem for AI infrastructure, computing power, and digital services. His company’s involvement would further strengthen the country’s tech capabilities. In recognition of his work, Pramotedham was awarded the Order of Dostyk, Second Class. The honour acknowledged his efforts in both the Smart City project and broader bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Presight AI.
The meeting reinforced Kazakhstan’s commitment to AI-driven development. Presight AI’s participation in the Digital Valley project and Smart City expansion could accelerate the country’s technological growth. The state award to Pramotedham underscores the importance of international partnerships in this sector.
