Kazakhstan and Turkey deepen military ties through education and cooperation
Kazakhstan’s Defence Minister, Air Force Lieutenant General Dauren Kossanov, recently visited Turkey for high-level military discussions. During his trip, he honoured fallen soldiers, met Kazakh cadets, and explored new defence partnerships with Turkish officials. The visit began with a solemn tribute at Anıtkabir, where Kossanov paid respects to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Later, he joined Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler for talks on military science, education, and joint projects. The trip strengthened Kazakhstan-Turkey defence relations through education and cooperation agreements. Kudabayev’s memorial now stands as a permanent reminder of his sacrifice. Meanwhile, Kazakh cadets in Turkey continue their training with support from both governments.
