Kazakhstan and Turkey strengthen political ties through Turkic cooperation

Yerlan Koshanov, Speaker of Kazakhstan’s Mazhilis and leader of the Amanat Party, held talks with Kurshad Zorlu, Deputy Chairman of Turkey’s AK Party for Turkic Relations. The meeting focused on deepening ties between their political groups and parliaments within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

During the discussions, both sides explored ways to boost cooperation between political parties, parliamentary committees, and friendship groups. Zorlu emphasized the importance of interparliamentary diplomacy, pointing to the recent TURKPA session in Astana as a key example of progress.

The talks highlighted ongoing efforts to reinforce political and diplomatic connections between Kazakhstan and Turkey. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to working together through TURKPA and other OTS platforms. Further steps are expected to follow in the coming months.
