A Man in Abai Region Sentenced for Stalking His Ex-Partner
Kazakhstan Court Convicts Man of Stalking Ex-Partner After Relentless Harassment
In Kazakhstan's Abai Region, a 28-year-old man has been criminally charged for stalking his former romantic partner.
"After their breakup, the man repeatedly harassed the woman—showing up at her home and workplace, calling from different numbers, sending messages, and attempting to re-establish contact. His actions were persistent, exerted psychological pressure, and caused her emotional distress," authorities stated.
The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 100 hours of community service. Following the verdict's entry into legal force, he was placed under probation supervision to serve his sentence.
The convicted man admitted his behavior was wrong and expressed remorse. He pledged to refrain from such actions in the future and acknowledged the importance of respecting personal boundaries.
The probation service is now monitoring his conduct and conducting preventive and educational outreach.
