Kazakhstan Explores Trade Partnership at 41st COMCEC Ministerial Session
The 41st Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) is underway in Istanbul. The event, attended by the Kazakh delegation led by Zhanel Kushukova, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, focuses on expanding intra-OIC trade and refining export strategies among member states.
Participants reviewed a COMCEC report detailing effective export strategies in OIC countries. They emphasized the importance of enhancing trade within the organisation. The Kazakh delegation explored potential cooperation between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration and the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC). Zhanel Kushukova held a bilateral meeting with Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Director General of SESRIC, to discuss this potential partnership. COMCEC, as a key multilateral platform, aims to address economic issues among OIC nations.
