Kazakhstan Honours Artists, Scientists, and Agriculturalists
Kazakhstan has honoured several individuals for their outstanding achievements in various fields. Bolat Abdilmanov, Tamara Zhanqul, and Shynar Zhanysbekova received the title of People’s Artist, while Murat Kenesovich Karazhumanov was named Halyk Qaharmany for his agricultural contributions. Zeinolla Samashev and Mukhit-Ardager Sydyknazarov were awarded the State Prize named after Akhmet Baitursynuly for their historical discoveries and cartography respectively.
Zeinolla Samashev's discovery of the Berel kurgan, a significant archaeological site belonging to the Saka culture, earned him the prestigious award. The Berel kurgan, known for its impressive burial rituals and golden jewellery, was discovered in Mongolia or nearby. Meanwhile, Mukhit-Ardager Sydyknazarov expanded historical understanding through his work in cartography.
In the realm of agriculture, Sergei Chernobai was honoured with the title of Halyk Qaharmany for his dedication to mining and representing a labour dynasty spanning over 150 years. Alexander Kisitsin received the Order of the Fatherland for his service to the nation and transforming rural areas through his agribusiness, Galitskoye LLP. Ivan Sauer was also recognised for his contributions to agricultural development.
Promoting Kazakhstan's image abroad, Shavkat Rakhmonov was awarded the Order of Barys, Second Class. Sergei Vasilyevich Kharchenko received the Order of the Leopard, First Class, for his contributions to Kazakh journalism and education. Several cultural figures, including Nina Zhemerenetskaya, Bakhyt Khadzhibayev, Zarina Altynbayeva, and Aigerim Altynbek, were honoured with the title of Honored Worker of Kazakhstan.
These awards reflect Kazakhstan's commitment to recognising and rewarding excellence in various fields, from arts and culture to agriculture, education, and international relations. The recipients' achievements not only enrich the nation's cultural landscape but also contribute to its overall progress and global standing.
