Kazakhstan Launches Landmark *Qazaqstan Balalary* to Protect Children’s Rights

Kazakhstan is set to implement a significant new initiative, the Qazaqstan Balalary program, aimed at ensuring the comprehensive protection of children's rights and well-being. This marks a substantial step towards a systematic and sustainable policy for the country's youth.

The program's development involved a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Education, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights, members of Parliament, and civil society representatives. Government agencies reviewed existing documents related to children's rights and interests during the preparatory phase.

A recent meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Galymzhan Koishybayev, discussed the draft concept of the unified Qazaqstan Balalary program for 2026–2030. The program aims to consolidate all current and planned measures to safeguard the rights and well-being of children in Kazakhstan. Relevant government bodies have been tasked with refining the program based on the proposals and feedback received.

The Qazaqstan Balalary program is poised to serve as the foundation for a sustainable state policy, ensuring the comprehensive protection of children's rights and well-being. Its implementation is expected to bring about a systematic, sustainable, and consistent policy for the younger generation in Kazakhstan.
