Kazakhstan Names New Chair for Consumer Rights Protection Committee
Bulat Tanabergenov, born in 1976, has been appointed as the new Chairman of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Trade and Integration's Consumer Rights Protection Committee. Tanabergenov brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served in various capacities within the government and education sectors.
Prior to his current appointment, Tanabergenov served as Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition. His career spans over two decades, starting as a mathematics teacher in Martuk District, Aktobe Region. He then worked in various roles, including as an operator at Akbulak JSC and a rigger at Stroydetal LLP, before rising through the ranks of the Aktobe city administration. From 2002 to 2009, he served as deputy head of the city’s Department of Education, Internal Policy, Finance, Economics, and Budget Planning.
Tanabergenov's educational background includes a degree from Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz and the Kazakh-Russian International University. He also graduated from the Aktobe Regional Consumer Union Accounting and Trade College. His extensive educational journey has equipped him with the necessary skills to navigate the complex landscape of consumer rights protection.
Tanabergenov's appointment as Chairman of the Consumer Rights Protection Committee signals a commitment to strengthening consumer rights in Kazakhstan.
