Kazakhstan Opens Third Consulate in Hamburg to Strengthen Ties with Germany
Hamburg recently hosted a ceremonial reception to inaugurate the third consulate-general of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Germany. The event aimed to bolster bilateral relations between the two nations. Guests included diplomats from various countries and local representatives.
The opening was praised by Mrs. Liv Assmann, State Councillor of Hamburg, as a signal for deepened partnership. Mayor Tschentscher presented the consular exequatur to Consul-General Dr. Denis Rogov and extended his congratulations. The event featured musical performances by Kazakh and German composers.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Germany, H.E. Mr. Nurlan Onzhanov, highlighted Hamburg's economic and logistics significance in his opening speech. Discussions took place between Ambassador Onzhanov and Hamburg's First Mayor, H.E. Dr. Peter Tschentscher, focusing on strengthening ties. Guests also included consuls-general from Japan, South Korea, China, Turkey, Egypt, Greece, and Poland.
The opening of the new consulate-general in Hamburg is expected to further enhance the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany. Both nations maintain embassies and consulates in each other's territories, fostering diplomatic and economic relations.
