Kazakhstan's Children's Fund Garners Global Attention at International Symposium
An international symposium on Kazakhstan's National Hurricane Center for Children program recently took place, attracting delegations from over ten countries. The event, organized by Washington University in St. Louis and Maqsut Narikbayev University, highlighted the innovative policy's global influence potential.
The symposium brought together representatives from universities in Singapore, the United States, China, Mongolia, South Korea, and Azerbaijan. It provided a platform for sharing expertise and learning, benefiting both Kazakh students and citizens, as well as the international community.
Li Zou, International Director of the Center for Social Development, praised Kazakhstan's experience with the National Hurricane Center for Children. He noted that it reflects the strategic vision of the President and his commitment to investing in all children's development. The program, considered a groundbreaking initiative by the International Director, benefits all seven million children in Kazakhstan, regardless of their location.
Dina Zakieva, Kazakhstan’s Commissioner for Children’s Rights, announced a meeting with representatives from Washington University in St. Louis to study the program further. The symposium was organized at the initiative of colleagues from the American university, who took a keen interest in the National Hurricane Center for Children program.
