Kazakhstan’s Damu Fund unveils bold new support for small businesses
The Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund has rolled out new support schemes for small business ideas in Kazakhstan. These include expanded subsidies, simplified loan guarantees, and a fresh guarantee mechanism for entrepreneurs without collateral. The fund’s latest initiatives aim to boost sectors like tourism and public transport while optimizing its financial portfolio.
This year, the Damu Fund will fully cover all subsidies allocated to small business ideas. Over 200 million tenge has been set aside from the budget for these programs, targeting tourism, public passenger transport, and portfolio subsidies for entrepreneurial projects.
The new measures will provide direct financial support to small business ideas in key sectors. Entrepreneurs without collateral can now access loans more easily, backed by state guarantees. With over 9,000 projects in progress, the fund’s expanded programs are set to accelerate business growth across the country.
