Kazakhstan’s Defence Minister Makes Surprise Inspection of Elite Military Unit
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Defence, General-Lieutenant Dauren Kosanov, made an unannounced visit to military unit 03811 on 22 November 2023. The trip coincided with an oath-taking ceremony for 60 young conscripts, marking their formal commitment to the armed forces.
The minister arrived without warning to inspect the unit, which is recognised as one of the finest in the regional command 'South'. He reviewed the organisation of service, checked compliance with military regulations, and assessed combat training standards. His inspection also covered barracks conditions, sanitary facilities, and the quality of food provided to personnel.
The visit concluded with the minister’s directives aimed at strengthening operational efficiency and service standards. Parents left with reassurance about their children’s welfare, while the unit received guidance on maintaining its reputation for excellence. The oath-taking marked the beginning of the new soldiers’ military journey under the watch of one of Kazakhstan’s most distinguished military units.
