Kazakhstan’s Kurmangazy District transforms with new housing and utilities
Residents in Kazakhstan’s Kurmangazy District are seeing major improvements to housing, roads, and public utilities. Governor Serik Shapkenov recently updated locals on ongoing projects, including new homes, upgraded infrastructure, and better transport links. The changes follow years of delays in essential repairs and development.
In Kurmangazy village, families from three run-down buildings have already moved out, with three more blocks set for relocation. Meanwhile, a 60-unit residential block is being built in Kadyr-Ka, while 107 apartments have been bought for vulnerable residents. These housing efforts come alongside broader upgrades, such as modernised water treatment plants in Bokeikhan and Kudryashovo, which will secure water access for nearly 3,000 people.
The upgrades will provide better housing, transport, and utilities for thousands in Kurmangazy District. With roads, water systems, and public services all under renovation, residents can expect long-term improvements to daily life. Further phases of the project will continue through the coming year.
