Kazakhstan's Navy Welcomes New Semey Patrol Vessel

The Mangistau region of Kazakhstan's Navy has welcomed a new small patrol vessel, the Semey. The commissioning ceremony, held recently, was attended by high-ranking officials including the Governor of Mangistau region and representatives from the Ministry of Defense and the Navy.

The Semey, powered by high-speed diesel engines, can operate autonomously for up to 10 days. It is equipped with advanced navigation systems and high-precision surveillance equipment, enabling effective operations in challenging conditions. The vessel is armed with an automated combat module featuring a remotely controlled 12.7mm machine gun, making it a formidable force against illegal activities at sea.

The Semey's primary mission is to protect Kazakhstan's state border and continental shelf. It will play a crucial role in combating illegal shipping, smuggling, and piracy. The vessel's advanced features and autonomous capabilities make it well-suited for these tasks.
