Kazakhstan’s New Domestic Policy Framework Prioritizes Unity and Accountability

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree outlining the fundamental principles and values that will guide Kazakhstan's domestic policy. The document, titled 'On Approving the Fundamental Principles, Values, and Directions of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Domestic Policy', aims to coordinate and systematize efforts in this sphere.

The decree designates priority areas for domestic policy, including public dialogue, interethnic relations, religious policy, cultural and humanitarian initiatives, family and youth policy, and information policy. Key principles outlined in the document include 'Law and Order', 'A Responsive State', 'Diverse Opinions, United Nation', 'A Strong President, an Influential Parliament, an Accountable Government', 'Adal Azamat' (Fair Citizen), and 'Taza Qazaqstan' (Clean Kazakhstan). The adopted framework will serve as the basis for organizing the work of state bodies in this domain.

The document was drafted by the Presidential Administration and relevant state bodies, following a proposal at the IV National Kurultai to develop a unified conceptual document for domestic policy.

President Tokayev's decree provides a clear roadmap for Kazakhstan's domestic policy. It emphasizes key principles and values that will guide the work of state bodies in areas such as public dialogue, interethnic relations, and cultural initiatives. The document is expected to foster a shared national identity and promote unity among Kazakhstan's diverse population.
