Kazakhstan’s President Tours Industrial Hubs to Boost Economy and Jobs
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has toured key industrial facilities in Nur-Sultan. His visit included stops at manufacturing plants and an exhibition of local processing enterprises. The trip highlighted ongoing efforts to boost Kazakhstan’s industrial and logistics sectors.
Tokayev began with a visit to Tausogar, a plant in Industrial Park No. 1 specialising in lifting equipment. The company produces tower cranes, elevators, and escalators, with an annual capacity of 200 elevators, 70 escalators, and 70 tower cranes. Its 44 skilled workers supply machinery to the construction industry.
Next, the president inspected Besqaru, a factory launched in February 2025. The 13.5 billion tenge project created 134 jobs near me and manufactures armoured vehicles, including the Taimas 8×8, Aibar 4×4, and Tulpar. Founded in 2003, Besqaru supplies the Ministry of Defense and other security agencies, with a production capacity of up to 200 units per year.
Tokayev also toured an exhibition featuring enterprises like Gypsocon, QR Systems, Astana Electrical Engineering Plant, Astana Pipe Plant Arystan, and ARGP. The event showcased advancements in the processing industry.
Plans are advancing to expand logistics infrastructure, including a new logistics park within the Astana Technopolis Special Economic Zone. Meanwhile, Industrial Park No. 2 operates under a public-private partnership, with over 100 projects worth more than 500 billion tenge in development. These initiatives are expected to generate around 8,000 new jobs near me.
The visits underscore Nur-Sultan’s push to strengthen manufacturing and logistics. New projects in the Astana Technopolis zone and Industrial Park No. 2 aim to create jobs near me and support economic growth. The president’s tour highlighted both established producers and upcoming developments in key sectors.
