Kazakhstan's Senate has removed three Supreme Court justices from their positions. The decision came after a proposal from the head of state, which deputies approved without opposition. All three judges left due to reaching retirement age.

Beibut Sharmukhamedov served on the Supreme Court for over 19 years. His judicial career spanned nearly 26 years in total. The Senate's vote marked the end of his long tenure on the bench.

Askarzhan Kenzegarin and Gaziza Musabekova also faced dismissal for retirement. Both had spent more than three decades in the judiciary. Kenzegarin previously led the criminal division of Astana's city court before joining the Supreme Court eight years ago.

Musabekova's career included a decade on the Supreme Court. Before that, she headed the criminal division of the Zhamyl Region Court. The Senate's unanimous vote confirmed the end of their judicial roles.

The three justices have now left their positions after lengthy legal careers. Their departures follow standard retirement procedures for judicial officials. The Supreme Court will proceed with replacements in due course.
