Kentucky GOP Expands HQ With 6,800-Sq-Ft Addition, 160-Seat Auditorium
The Republican Party of Kentucky is expanding its state headquarters, connecting the existing building to a new 6,800-square-foot structure that includes a 160-seat auditorium. The project has raised $4.2 million over three years, with major contributions from corporations like Beam Suntory and Boeing.
The expansion has been primarily funded by 21 donors, predominantly corporations or entities with significant lobbying presences in Washington and/or Frankfort. The exact amounts and names of some corporate donors are not publicly detailed, but can be identified through total contributions to the Republican Party House Building Fund. Through September 30, the fund has spent about $3,826,000, with nearly all of it paid to three contractors. The project has received two major contributions this summer: $100,000 from Beam Suntory and $75,000 from Boeing.
The Republican Party of Kentucky has not responded to requests for comment about the project and its funding. The expansion is set to include a 160-seat auditorium, expanding the existing headquarters' capacity and facilities.
