Kevin Hart arrested in Germany after failed breathalyzer and drug test
American comedian and actor Kevin Hart was arrested in Germany on 15 December 2025. Police detained him on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The incident unfolded after he visited a police station to report a lost driver’s license earlier that day. The 33-year-old from Bonn first arrived at Sankt Augustin police station on an e-scooter. He was there to file a report about his missing license. Despite this, officers later stopped him while driving and noticed the smell of alcohol. A breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol level of around 0.8 per mille. Police also conducted a preliminary drug test, which came back positive for multiple substances. Officers then took a blood sample and barred him from continuing his trip. During a search, authorities found a white powdery substance suspected to be drugs. The substance was confiscated for further examination. Hart now faces charges for driving under the influence and violating narcotics laws. The arrest follows a series of events that began with a routine visit to report a lost license. Hart’s blood alcohol level and the suspected drugs led to immediate legal action. He remains under investigation for both traffic and narcotics offenses.
