Khabar Agency Marks 30 Years with Gala Event in Kazakhstan
Khabar Agency, a leading media organization in Kazakhstan, celebrated its 30th anniversary with a gala event at the Kazmedia Center in Nur-Sultan. Founded by Muksin Khazhimuratov, the agency has grown to maintain an extensive network of correspondents across Kazakhstan and internationally, with bureaus in 12 countries.
The anniversary event was marked by a photo exhibition titled 'Khabar: 30 Years in Photographs' and video greetings from the Chairmen of the Senate and the Mäjilis. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent congratulations, highlighting the agency's role in nurturing television professionals and objective coverage.
Veteran Kazakhstani broadcasters expressed their gratitude, calling Khabar their 'alma mater'. The event brought together veterans and current employees, with Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva praising the agency's role in promoting national projects and fostering responsibility and justice in society.
Founded on October 23, 1995, the Khabar Agency operates two television channels broadcasting in Kazakh and Russian. The anniversary event was attended by Presidential Advisor Arman Krykbayev, Minister Aida Balayeva, and members of Kazakhstan’s Parliament, reflecting the agency's significant impact on the nation's media landscape.
