Khabarovsk and Fuyuan Unite for a Year of Cross-Border Cultural Festivals
Khabarovsk and Fuyuan have agreed on a shared cultural calendar for the year ahead. The two cities will host a series of joint events, including art festivals, exhibitions, and culinary competitions. Officials from both sides recently met to finalise plans and strengthen ties.
Mayor Sergei Kravchuk of Khabarovsk held a video meeting with Fuyuan government representatives to discuss tourism and cultural cooperation. During the talks, a memorandum of intent was signed to boost tourism and share best practices between the cities.
The first events will take place in late spring. Khabarovsk will host the International Children's Drawing Exhibition in May and June. Shortly after, in early summer, Fuyuan will stage the 3rd Russia-China Oil Painting Exhibition, while Khabarovsk prepares for the International 'Murals on the Amur' Art Festival. August will see Fuyuan organise the 3rd Russia-China Family Exchange Program. In September, Khabarovsk will hold the 5th Humanitarian Festival of Education, Culture, and Sports. The following month, both cities will feature major events: Fuyuan will host the Russia-China Culture and Art Festival, and Khabarovsk will welcome the International Culinary Competition 'Cuisine on the Amur'.
The agreed schedule covers a range of cultural and artistic exchanges throughout the year. No further details on long-term projects beyond these events have been made public. Both cities will continue their collaboration through the planned festivals and competitions.
