Khabarovsk Krai's Governor Unveils Plans for New Park and Embankment Dam Improvement
Khabarovsk Krai Governor Dmitry Demeshin recently held a teams meeting to discuss the embankment dam improvement project in the Southern District. The plans include the creation of a new park near the Yerofey Arena, supported by Sberbank, and the integration of this park with the overall embankment improvement project.
Governor Demeshin emphasized the importance of seamless integration between the future park and the embankment project. The zoom meeting reviewed plans to preserve existing greenery and supplement the area with ornamental flowering shrubs. A running path connecting the park to the waterfront was also discussed, aiming to enhance accessibility and safety through fencing, equipped ramps, tactile navigation aids, and a video surveillance system.
The area will be landscaped with new trees and shrubs as part of the project. In the second phase, plans include the construction of trade pavilions, public event spaces, and sports infrastructure to enhance community facilities and promote active public life. Participants walked the entire length of the embankment dam during the meeting, starting near the Yerofey Arena.
