Khabarovsk Opens Nominations for 2026 City Honors and Cultural Awards

Khabarovsk has launched nominations for two prestigious city awards. The Mayor's Honorary Diploma and the Yakov Dyachenko Award will both open for submissions in February 2026. These honours recognise residents who have shaped the city's growth and cultural life over the past year.

The Mayor's Honorary Diploma celebrates individuals whose work has greatly benefited Khabarovsk. Recipients are chosen for their contributions to the city's prosperity, particularly in the previous 12 months. Nominations will be accepted from February 2026 until March 1, 2026.

The Yakov Dyachenko Award, established in 1998, highlights achievements in social development, cultural heritage, and local programmes. Past winners include athletes, educators, artists, and business leaders. To qualify, a candidate must be nominated by at least five organisations.

All application materials should go to the district administration where the nominee's main public activities take place. The award ceremonies will coincide with Khabarovsk's official birthday celebrations.

Both awards play a key role in honouring those who strengthen the city's community and heritage. Winners will be announced during Khabarovsk's birthday events. The submission window closes on March 1, 2026.
