Khadija Talalawa Wins Fearless Fund Africa Pitch with Natural Products Vision
Khadija Talalawa, CEO of The Cheer Natives, has won the Fearless Fund Africa Pitch Competition 2024. The event took place in Johannesburg, South Africa, and awarded her a cash prize of GH¢100,000. Her business focuses on natural products made from locally sourced ingredients.
Talalawa's company, The Cheer Natives, stood out among the finalists for its commitment to sustainability. The brand produces natural goods using ingredients from local communities. After securing the top prize, she shared her confidence that the funding would expand operations and increase market reach.
Three other entrepreneurs—from Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa—also received financial backing. Each of the four finalists, including Talalawa, was granted GH¢20,000 to support their ventures. The competition aimed to empower African businesses with growth potential.
The Fearless Fund Africa Pitch Competition 2024 provided GH¢100,000 to Talalawa for scaling The Cheer Natives. The remaining finalists each took home GH¢20,000 to develop their own enterprises. The funding is set to help these businesses grow and reach wider markets.
