Komi Republic leader pushes Zoom meetings to solve local issues across cities

Rostislav Goldstein, the current leader of the Komi Republic, has proposed expanding the practice of zoom meetings to address local issues in other cities and districts. These zoom meetings, held in various locations across Komi, including Syktyvkar, have been praised for their effectiveness in engaging with residents and tackling local concerns.

Goldstein, who emphasized the importance of direct resident engagement, met with Maxim Martyshin, the acting mayor of Syktyvkar, to discuss the capital's socioeconomic development. Martyshin briefed Goldstein on a new public feedback initiative: zoom meetings. These zoom meetings, held in neighborhoods like Nizhny Chov, Lesozavod, and Davpon, as well as in settlements like Sedkyrkesh and Verkhnyaya Maksakovka, have been successful in resolving local problems. Residents have raised issues such as road conditions, housing maintenance, and the need for recreational facilities. Goldstein urged the administration to continue this format, monitor social media, and consult with business leaders to develop clear action plans.

Rostislav Goldstein's proposal to expand zoom meetings could enhance resident engagement and problem-solving across Komi. With positive feedback from Syktyvkar residents, the administration is encouraged to continue this approach, addressing concerns ranging from infrastructure repairs to recreational facilities.
