Korea-U.S. Diplomatic Forum debuts in Seoul with high-level talks
The first Korea-U.S. Diplomatic Forum took place in Seoul on November 20. Held at the Lotte Hotel in Jung District, the main event featured a keynote address from a newly appointed American diplomat.
Kevin Kim, the Acting U.S. Ambassador to South Korea, led the discussions as the senior U.S. representative.
The forum marked a formal gathering between officials from both nations. Organisers chose the Lotte Hotel in central Seoul as the venue for the high-level talks.
Kim had taken on his role as Chargé d'Affaires ad interim shortly before the event. His background includes extensive experience in East Asian and Pacific affairs within the U.S. State Department. The appointment placed him at the forefront of U.S. diplomatic engagement with South Korea.
The event highlighted ongoing cooperation between the two countries. Kim’s participation as the acting ambassador signalled the U.S. commitment to strengthening bilateral ties. The forum’s location in Seoul’s Jung District underscored its significance as a platform for diplomatic dialogue.
