Krasnodar and East Sarajevo deepen twin-city ties through cultural exchange
Krasnodar has welcomed a delegation from East Sarajevo, further strengthening the bond between the two cities. The visit, part of their twin-city agreement, aims to foster friendship and cooperation.
Krasnodar's Mayor Yevgeny Naumov and City Duma Chairwoman Vera Galushko greeted the Serbian delegation. Naumov highlighted the active development of relations, with numerous joint events held in the past year. Galushko emphasized the deep spiritual and cultural affinity between the Russian and Serbian peoples.
The delegation, led by Svetlana Čolaković, included students and teachers from the East Ilidža Secondary School Center. They presented ideas for fostering friendship, such as jointly studying Russian-Serbian relations and discussing Fyodor Dostoevsky's works. Čolaković conveyed greetings from East Sarajevo Mayor Ljubiša Čosić and expressed intent to deepen twin-city ties.
The delegation will participate in various cultural, historical, and sports events during their visit. These include laying flowers at the Eternal Flame and visiting museums. Past activities under the double-state agreement, from 2014 to 2019, have laid a solid foundation for this exchange.
The visit of the East Sarajevo delegation to Krasnodar underscores the commitment of both cities to their twin-city agreement. Future plans include joint educational, cultural, and business projects, as well as student exchanges. The deepening ties between Krasnodar and East Sarajevo promise to enrich the lives of their citizens and foster mutual understanding.
