Krasnodar and Iran’s Qeshm deepen economic and cultural ties at YUGAGRO-2025
A delegation from Iran’s Hormozgan Province and the city of Qeshm recently visited Krasnodar Territory. The trip took place during the 32nd International Agricultural Exhibition YUGAGRO-2025, marking another step in growing ties between the two regions. Officials explored ways to deepen economic and cultural cooperation.
The first formal contacts between Krasnodar Territory and the Qeshm Free Economic Zone began in 2023. By summer 2024, both sides had signed a cooperation memorandum to strengthen relations.
The visit underscores Krasnodar’s push to strengthen ties with Iran. With a signed memorandum and plans for direct flights, both regions are laying the groundwork for closer collaboration. Future steps will likely focus on turning these agreements into concrete economic and cultural projects.
