Krasnodar Circus Reconstruction Delayed to 2029
The Krasnodar State Circus' reconstruction, halted due to a contractor's breach of contract, faces further delays. Initially planned for 2026, it's now pushed back to 2029, with work not resuming until 2027 at the earliest.
The Ministry of Culture of the Krasnodar Region is set to oversee budget optimization to issue a new tender for a contractor. This process is expected to take time, contributing to the delay. The first phase of work, completed before the halt, included temporary fencing, greenery removal, and partial drainage improvements.
Funding challenges and budget constraints have been the primary reasons for the postponement. Authorities aim to clarify and approve budgetary allocations before proceeding. The project's timeline has been extended to approximately 48 months.
