Krasnodar Krai sees rising birth rates and later marriages in 2025 demographic shift
Krasnodar Krai has recorded 42,000 births since the start of 2025, with projections reaching around 50,000 by year’s end. The region’s fertility trends show shifting patterns in marriage and motherhood over the past decade, reflecting broader demographic changes across Russia.
In 2009, the majority of women in Krasnodar Krai gave birth between the ages of 20 and 25. Back then, young people aged 20 to 25 also made up the largest group getting married. By 2025, however, the average age for marriage has climbed, with 37% of residents now tying the knot at 35 or older.
The data highlights a clear trend toward later marriages and childbirth in Krasnodar Krai. With more women becoming mothers in their late 20s and beyond, the region’s demographic landscape continues to evolve. Officials will likely monitor these shifts as the year’s birth total approaches 50,000.
