Krasnodar Krai Smashes Tourism Records With 16.6 Million Visitors in 2025
Krasnodar Krai has seen a record number of visitors in 2025, with over 16.6 million tourists arriving so far. The region remains one of Russia’s most popular travel spots, thanks to its high service standards and year-round attractions. Officials now expect the total to reach 17-18 million by the end of the year.
The region’s tourism boom comes alongside major developments in infrastructure. This year alone, 39 new hotels have opened to accommodate the growing number of guests. Regional authorities have also launched over 70 investment projects aimed at expanding the tourism and hotel sectors.
The annual 'Resort Olympia' competition, now in its 20th year, continues to play a key role in promoting the industry. Organised by the Ministry of Resorts, Tourism, and Olympic Legacy, the event recognises outstanding professionals across 24 categories. Deputy Governor Alexander Ruppel recently congratulated this year’s awardees, highlighting their contributions to the sector.
Yury Burlachko, Speaker of the Krasnodar Legislative Assembly, stressed the region’s strong appeal. He pointed to its natural beauty, economic opportunities, and well-developed tourism infrastructure as major draws for visitors.
With tourism numbers rising steadily, Krasnodar Krai is on track to meet its 2025 target of 17-18 million visitors. The ongoing investment projects and new hotel openings suggest further growth in the coming years. The region’s focus on high standards and professional recognition continues to strengthen its position as a leading destination.
