Krasnodar Krai to build new schools and ease overcrowding by 2028

Governor Veniamin Kondratyev of Krasnodar Krai has addressed growing demands for better social infrastructure in the region. During a recent Direct Line session, he confirmed plans for new schools, kindergartens, and healthcare facilities, with construction set to start in mid-2026.

Residents had raised nearly 1,000 concerns about education, social security, and social development before the event. Overcrowding in existing schools, particularly School No. 15 in Yuzhny, was a key issue highlighted by local families.

The governor acknowledged the urgent need for more schools, especially in Yuzhny, part of Dinsky District. Design plans for a new general education school there have already been finalised. This facility, intended for 1,500 students, will break ground in summer 2026 and is scheduled for completion by August 2028.

Another school project in the same settlement is already underway, with 40% of the work completed. That building is expected to open by the end of 2027. Meanwhile, officials have processed around 200 of the 1,000 social-related appeals received, with the remaining requests still under review.

Kondratyev assured residents that no inquiry would be ignored. The focus remains on easing pressure on existing institutions, starting with School No. 15, where overcrowding has become a persistent problem.

The new schools will increase capacity and reduce strain on local education services. Construction timelines have been set, with the first major project beginning in mid-2026. Authorities continue to review outstanding appeals to address broader social infrastructure needs across the region.
