Krasnodar Krai Transforms Pavlenko Park: 1,400+ Public Spaces Renovated

Krasnodar Krai has seen significant improvements to its public spaces, with over 1,400 parks and squares renovated in the past six years. The latest project, part of the 'Infrastructure for Life' national project, has transformed a section of Pavlenko Culture and Recreation Park along Venus Street. Vyacheslav Shaposhnik, the acting minister, highlighted the modern, comfortable facilities now available for leisure and cultural events.

The renovations in the park have been extensive and varied. In 2020, the riverbank was reinforced, pedestrian zones were improved, and a children’s playground was installed. The lighting system was also upgraded to enhance safety and accessibility. Additionally, 2021 saw the addition of an amphitheater with seating, a 'Sail' art installation, and several small architectural features. The Levy Beysuzhek River viewing platform and a pavilion for water equipment rentals were also improved.

Looking ahead, another section of the park is currently under development after winning an All-Russian Competition. This project is expected to be completed by 2026. Governor Veniamin Kondratyev has instructed authorities to ensure all landscaping of the renovated areas is finished by November 1, 2025, to meet residents' expectations. The park director has also given a similar instruction for the completion of landscaping by the same deadline.

The renovations in Pavlenko Culture and Recreation Park are part of a larger effort to improve public spaces across Krasnodar Krai. With over 1,400 parks and squares already renovated and another 103 scheduled for upgrade in 2025, the region is committed to providing comfortable and modern spaces for its residents to enjoy. The upcoming landscaping work aims to ensure these spaces are ready for use by November 1, 2025.
