Krasnodar Krai welcomes 138 newborns in a single day
Krasnodar Krai, a region in southern Russia, celebrated a significant milestone with the birth of 138 babies in the past 24 hours. This joyous event was hailed as an achievement by Deputy Governor Alexander Rudenko, who expressed pride in each newborn. The babies, 73 girls and 65 boys, joined the growing population of Krasnodar Krai, which has welcomed over 42,000 children so far this year.
The region's cities shared in the joy of new life. Krasnodar, the administrative centre, welcomed 58 new residents. Sochi, a city known for its beaches and tourism, saw 20 births. Novorossiysk, a major port city, celebrated the arrival of 11 babies.
This recent surge in births is a notable increase from the same period last year, when over 43,000 births were recorded in Krasnodar Krai. The region has also seen a rise in multiple births this year, with 435 sets of twins and four sets of triplets born since the beginning of the year.
The birth of these 138 babies is a testament to the region's growth and vitality. Deputy Governor Alexander Rudenko's statement underscores the importance of these new lives to the social sector. As Krasnodar Krai continues to develop, these babies will grow up in a region that takes pride in their arrival and looks forward to their future.
