Krasnodar lures teachers with bonuses and mortgage support to fill schools
Krasnodar has introduced new social support measures for educators working in the city. Mayor Yevgeny Naumov announced the initiative on his Telegram channel. The programme aims to attract more teachers and kindergarten staff to local schools and early education centres.
Currently, 1,328 educators in Krasnodar receive monthly payments of 25,000 rubles from the municipal budget. The financial support has sparked interest beyond the region, with over 350 inquiries from teachers considering relocation since June 2024. Of these, 82 have already begun working in Krasnodar’s schools and kindergartens.
The programme is already showing results, with dozens of new teachers joining Krasnodar’s education system. Monthly payments and mortgage support are key incentives for those moving to the city. Officials expect the initiative to further stabilize staffing levels in schools and kindergartens.
