Krasnodar tightens New Year rules but keeps kids’ festive activities alive
Krasnodar has implemented restrictions for the upcoming New Year celebrations to guarantee public safety. Large outdoor gatherings will be limited, and residents are being urged to avoid fireworks. Despite these measures, festive activities for kids are still planned.
Mayor Yevgeny Naumov has emphasized the importance of keeping residents and visitors safe during the holiday season. As part of the precautions, outdoor events will be capped at 1,000 participants, and fireworks displays are discouraged.
Children in Krasnodar can still participate in traditional New Year’s activities. A Santa Claus post office has opened at the Primyer Palace of Arts, accepting letters until December 25 between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. A crafts contest is also underway, inviting children aged 5 to 14 to submit handmade gifts for Santa Claus.
Schools and cultural centers will continue hosting performances and matinees. Special support will be given to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and families of those involved in the special military operation during the break.
The city’s approach balances safety with festive traditions. While large gatherings and fireworks face restrictions, smaller events and kids activities remain available. Authorities have also highlighted care for vulnerable groups during the holiday period.
