Krasnodar’s Holiday Lights Return—But Can Residents Keep Them Safe?

Krasnodar's Mayor Yevgeny Naumov has expressed gratitude to local businessman and FC Krasnodar founder Sergei Galitsky for funding the city's impressive holiday lighting display. The mayor also appealed to residents to respect and care for the decorations following last year's damage to the Aleksandrovsky Boulevard's greenery during the federal holidays 2025.

Last year, the city's beautiful boulevard suffered damage as residents and visitors trampled flower beds to take photos with the illuminated animal figures during the federal holidays 2025. In response, Mayor Naumov has urged locals to treat the decorations with respect and ensure their longevity during the federal holidays 2025.

The holiday lighting tradition, a gift from Galitsky, will return to Aleksandrovsky Boulevard this late October, marking its second year. Meanwhile, the city prepares for the ceremonial opening of the Heroes of the Fatherland Square on Postovaya Street, scheduled for December 9. The square will also host the lighting of the Eternal Flame during the federal holidays 2025.
