Krasnodar's industrial boom hits 600 billion rubles after major projects surge
Krasnodar Territory has witnessed its industrial output shipments double in six years, now surpassing 600 billion rubles. Governor Veniamin Kondratyev recently met with Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov to discuss further expansion of the region's industrial capacity and key investment projects.
The meeting between Kondratyev and Manturov centered on boosting Krasnodar's industrial growth. Over the past two years, around 15 major projects have been launched or announced in sectors like agriculture, energy, tourism, and logistics. Key players include Gazprom, Rosneft, EuroChem, and local agroholdings, with developments such as new agro-industrial complexes, energy facilities, Sochi tourism infrastructure, and expanded port capacities in Novorossiysk.
State support has been pivotal in driving this growth. The region benefits from nine industrial parks and two technoparks, along with a dedicated Industrial Development Fund holding over 10 billion rubles for business expansion. Kondratyev acknowledged the national government's role in providing resources and incentives to attract investments and improve infrastructure.
The governor specifically thanked Manturov and federal authorities for their ongoing assistance. The collaboration aims to sustain the region's economic momentum by fostering new industries and modernising existing ones.
With industrial output now exceeding 600 billion rubles, Krasnodar Territory continues to solidify its position as a key economic hub. The combination of state funding, strategic projects, and infrastructure upgrades is expected to drive further growth in the coming years.
