Krasnodar's Mobile Internet Outages Disrupt Parking Payments, Free Parking for Certain Groups

Krasnodar residents are grappling with persistent mobile internet outages that have disrupted online municipal parking payments. Meanwhile, the city is expanding its parking infrastructure and offering free parking to certain groups.

The city's Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure has advised residents to use the wired internet at home to pay for parking via the website parkingkrd.ru before 11:59 p.m. on the same day. They should note their parking zone number and session duration for later payment.

Large families and veterans, including those who served in the Great Patriotic War, Heroes of the Soviet Union, and Heroes of the Russian Federation, can park for up to three hours without charge at barrier-free parking spaces. This initiative aims to provide relief to these groups.

Krasnodar is set to introduce 35 new municipal parking lots between late June and the end of November. However, the responsible authority for implementing these new spaces remains unclear.

The mobile internet outages, affecting many Russian cities like Krasnodar, have caused issues with online services. Russian law does not currently require parking to be made free during such failures.

Krasnodar is working to improve its parking infrastructure while also addressing the challenges posed by mobile internet outages. Residents are advised to plan their parking payments accordingly, and those eligible can enjoy free parking at designated spaces.
