Krasnoturinsk’s Miners’ Park Revived After Decades of Neglect and a 140M-Ruble Overhaul
Miners’ Park in Krasnoturinsk has reached a major milestone with the completion of its second revitalisation phase. The project, backed by the Sverdlovsk Regional Government, aims to restore the park’s former glory from its peak in the 1960s–1980s. Work began in 2026 as part of the national Infrastructure for Life programme, following a public vote under the Comfortable Urban Environment initiative.
The park’s transformation has unfolded over three years, with a budget exceeding 140 million rubles. The first two years focused on heavy groundwork: grading the 4.5-hectare site, laying cables, and installing drainage systems. These efforts prepared the area for further development.
The restored Miners’ Park will provide modern leisure options while honouring its historical role as a community hub. Residents and visitors will soon have access to improved sports, play, and relaxation areas. The project’s completion in 2026 will mark the end of a multi-year effort to revive a beloved local landmark.
