Krasnouralsk Youth Forum Celebrates Urals Heritage and Future Vision
Krasnouralsk recently hosted the youth forum 'Where Does the Motherland Begin?', drawing over 150 residents from Sverdlovsk Oblast to discuss regional geography and heritage. The event, supported by 'Heroes of the Urals' and the Sverdlovsk branch of the Russian Society 'Znanie', was part of the Motherland Initiative, a local project started in 2021 to support families and promote cultural heritage.
The forum 'The Urals: A National Geography' saw Natalya Shmidko working with young attendees to design projects celebrating Krasnouralsk's anniversary year. Vyacheslav Tolstoguzov led a foresight session, identifying challenges and potential solutions for the municipality's future. Three lecturers from the Russian Society 'Znanie' addressed the participants, with Olga Guryevskikh announcing the opening of a local branch of the Russian Geographical Society in Krasnouralsk.
The youth forum in Krasnouralsk brought together local residents to engage with their regional heritage and discuss its future. The event, supported by local and national organizations, marked a significant step in the Motherland Initiative's mission to promote cultural heritage and community involvement.
