Krayer Straße in Essen to Close for Sewer Work in Late 2025

A significant stretch of Krayer Straße in Essen’s Kray district will close for nearly a month in late 2025. The shutdown commences on November 24, 2025, as sewer construction initiates. Drivers heading toward Steele should follow a temporary diversion.

The closure impacts the section between Burgundenweg and Ridderweg. From November 24 to December 19, 2025, traffic towards Steele will be impeded. Vehicles will instead be routed into the opposite lane, with one lane open in each direction.

The roadworks are scheduled to conclude by December 19, 2025. Until then, drivers should anticipate delays and adhere to the marked detours. AVV will guarantee the diversions remain clear and operational throughout the closure.
