Krefeld-Moers mediators elect new leaders at Schloss Neersen assembly

The Krefeld-Moers District Association of Conciliation Mediators gathered at Schloss Neersen in Willich for their latest assembly. The event highlighted the city’s support for volunteer conflict resolution and saw key leadership changes. New appointments were made, while long-serving members stepped back from official roles.

The meeting took place at Schloss Neersen, a venue provided by the city of Willich. Carla Walter and Clemens Braun, outgoing leaders, opened the session and welcomed attendees, including judges and Dr. Bernd Wermeckes, president of the Krefeld Regional Court. Both Walter and Braun chose not to seek re-election but will continue working as mediators in Willich and the surrounding area.

The assembly reinforced the value of conciliation mediators as a citizen-focused alternative to court disputes. With fresh leadership in place, the association aims to expand public awareness of mediation services. The city of Willich’s support ensures volunteers can continue their work in resolving everyday conflicts.
