Krishibid Group celebrates 25 years of transforming Bangladesh's agriculture

Krishibid Group marked its 25th anniversary on Monday with a grand celebration at its headquarters. What began as a modest poultry farm with just Tk 30,000 in capital has now grown into one of the country's leading industrial conglomerates. The group plays a key role in agriculture, agri-tech, and food security while supporting thousands of farmers and scientists.

The company's story started in 1999 when it launched a small poultry operation. Over time, it expanded into agribusiness, e-commerce, and food manufacturing, becoming a major force in Bangladesh's agricultural sector. Today, Krishibid Group is valued at nearly Tk 10,000 crore and works with over 6,500 agriculturists and researchers.

The anniversary event took place at the Krishibid Group Auditorium, led by Chairman Md Tariq Hassan. Managing Director Ali Afzal attended as the chief guest. During the celebration, the group outlined its ambitious vision for the future—a long-term plan stretching to the year 2100, aiming for a valuation of Tk 500,000 crore. One of its key ventures, Krishi Mart E-commerce Ltd, was founded in 2023 to bring technology into farming. The platform has already raised $55,000 and focuses on improving efficiency in the agricultural supply chain. The group's broader mission includes ensuring food security, creating jobs, and fostering entrepreneurship to support national development.

From a Tk 30,000 investment to a Tk 10,000 crore enterprise, Krishibid Group has become a cornerstone of Bangladesh's agricultural industry. With plans to grow even further, the company continues to drive innovation in farming, trade, and food production. The anniversary event highlighted both its past achievements and its long-term goals for the next century.
